At Microsoft, for example, soccer is very popular. On campus there are several football fields to play on those employees. There is even a Microsoft-League for the staff teams.
Even Seattle has since this year its own professional team, the Seattle Sounders , sponsored by Microsoft. The enthusiasm for the local team but also seems limited, so the stadium for 67 000 spectators was never sold out and only brought a game against FC Barcelona recently times more than 50,000 spectators to the stadium.
The thing with the professional football league is here, however, completely different than in Europe. This must play a club in the league Profile MLS must pay royalties to the league and obviously approved of this. And relegation does not exist.
